The transformation of architectural scapes in the movie is greatly inspired and adapted from MC Escher's work on Relativity. He has created a world where the normal laws of gravity do not apply. In fact, the world of Relativity is actually three worlds occupying the same space and time with three different pulls of gravity.
M.C.Escher's works has always been able to amaze me, all of his works are all very smart and well thought of. you'll always find more as you examine his works longer. He has this ability to mess with my mind, preventing me from thinking logically. Therefore I think as an artist, being able to do that is really formidable.
