These in-a-glass work are created by Michelle Inciarrano and Katy Maslow from Twig.

Each terrarium contains a mini-ecosystem mimicking a landscape/scenery with interesting scenario. These tiny worlds are formed using miniature mosses and succulents and often little miniature figurines/props are added to bring out the theme/story.

Wu Guanzhong (吴冠中)

Wu Guanzhong (August 29, 1919 – June 25, 2010) is a contemporary Chinese painter widely recognized as the father of modern Chinese painting. Wu had painted various aspects of China, including much of its architecture, plants, animals, people, as well as many of its landscapes and waterscapes in a style reminiscent of the impressionist painters of the early 1900s. He was also a writer on contemporary Chinese art.

'This exhibition, entitled Seeing the Kite Again, is inspired by the late master Wu Guanzhong’s metaphor of a kite and how it expresses the connection between an artist, his life and the people around him. By bridging Chinese and Western aesthetics, Wu blazed the trail for the modernisation of Chinese art. In 2008, the internationally acclaimed artist donated his largest gift of 113 important works to the National Heritage Board. Selected paintings from the donation has been presented since 2009 by the National Art Gallery, Singapore. The current exhibition showcases some of Wu’s most outstanding works produced from 1960s to 2000s in the oil and ink medium.'

The Duramen Series by Bonsoir Paris

The Duramen Series, designed by French duo Remy Clemente and Morgan Maccari of Bonsoir Paris, consists of wooden sculptures that allow the mind to visualize an objects form that has been twisted from its original skeleton. Each piece, in the shape of a picture frame, was transformed to a point where they couldn’t properly function and almost unrecognizable. The choice of noble materials (Oak, Fir, Wenge, Pear, Linden) and the quest for finesse, enables them – with the DURAMEN series – to position themselves on the razor’s edge between two opposites, that of the deformed and that of the elegant, instinctive and thoughtful.

Iris Apfel

She (born August 29, 1921) is an American interior designer and fashion icon who has studied art history at New York University and attended art school at the University of Wisconsin. In 1948, she married Carl Apfel. Two years later they launched the textile firm Old World Weavers and ran it until they retired in 1992. During this time, Iris Apfel took part in several design restoration projects, including work at the White House for nine presidents: Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Reagan, and Clinton.

In 2005, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City premiered an exhibition about Apfel titled Rara Avis (Rare Bird): The Irreverent Iris Apfel. The exhibit's success prompted a traveling version of the exhibit, which included stops at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida, the Nassau County Museum in Nassau County, New York, and the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts.

Dexter Dalwood

He is an artist based in London and has shown work internationally in many important exhibitions including the 2002 Sydney Biennial, “Hollywood is a Verb” at Gagosian Gallery in New York, the 19th John Moore’s Painting Prize at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, “Die Young Stay Pretty” at the ICA London.
He makes paintings of famous places he’s never seen. Offering plausible suggestions of those iconic haunts lingering invisibly in collective consciousness, Dalwood pictures his own documentation of history.

McCarthy’s living room, Kurt Cobain’s greenhouse, or Jackie O’s yacht are depicted with uncanny believability; not as real occupied places, but our media-constructed fantasies of them. Devoid of any bric-a-brac signs of human life, Dexter Dalwood pictures these lairs of rumour with Hello! magazine cleanliness; show homes of glamour, dark theme-park panoramas of gossip tourism.

Through painting, he masters the strategies of propaganda dissemination and the superfluous nature of information currency in a mass media age. Working in the traditional genre of historical painting, Dexter Dalwood presents the makings of our sociological zeitgeist as an elevated hierarchy of lasting cultural significance.

Gregory Euclide

He is an American contemporary artist and teacher who currently lives and works outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota. His work are mixed media landscape paintings that explore ideas surrounding nature and the human experience, while void of the human figure. His sculptural paintings juxtapose natural occurring, organic matter with artificial, man-made materials. The artist collects found objects, interesting plant material and incorporates such materials into multi-dimensional objects made from crumpled paper, on which might be elaborate and detailed drawings or paintings.

This rare exhibition Dreams and Reality at National Museum of Singapore featured over 140 Salon, Realists, Impressionists and Post-Impressionists paintings, photographs and drawings from the mid-19th century to the early 20th century collected by Musée d’Orsay, Paris. Of special mention would be the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist work with their rendition of soft pastel colours and plein air lighting effects. Aside popular work by great masters such as Cezanne, Manet, Seurat, Renoir and Van Gogh, great work by lesser-known artists such as Henri de Toulouse Lautrec, Frederic Bazille, Maurice Denis, Marie Braquemond are featured as well.

Edward Gorey

Edward St. John Gorey (February 22, 1925 – April 15, 2000) was an American writer and artist noted for his macabre illustrated books.

His books can be found in the humor and cartoon sections of major bookstores, but books like The Object Lesson have earned serious critical respect as works of surrealist art. His experimentations — creating books that were wordless, books that were literally matchbox-sized, pop-up books, books entirely populated by inanimate objects.

As Gorey told Richard Dyer of The Boston Globe, "Ideally, if anything [was] any good, it would be indescribable." Gorey classified his own work as literary nonsense, the genre made most famous by Lewis Carroll and Edward Lear.

Along Mao’er Hutong Beijing, you should look out for Wuhao curated shop.

Its central premise is to curate seasonal collections themed around the Chinese theory of the ‘five elements’ – ‘fire’ (corresponding to summer); ‘metal’ (autumn); ‘water’ (winter); ‘wood’ (spring); and ‘earth’ (an intermediary period between seasons). Each element traditionally has its own characteristics and colours, and these are used as inspiration. To gather pieces for each season, Wuhao’s director Isabelle Pascal works with Chinese and international artists from the whole spectrum of design: art, fashion, lighting, installation, jewellery, ceramics, furniture and lifestyle. High quality, sustainability and ‘upcycling’ (turning waste into something usable) are all paramount.

Do Ho Suh leads an itinerant life, hopping from his family home to his working life in New York. Migration, both spatial and psychological, has been one of Suh's themes, manifested through biographical narrative and emotionally inflected architecture.Best known for his intricate sculptures that defy conventional notions of scale and site-specificity, Suh's work draws attention to the ways viewers occupy and inhabit public space. These cute and creative photos are created by Adele Enersen, a mother and bored photographer on maternity leave. She created dreamscapes around her sleeping baby and then captured them on film. This series of dream photography is inspired by Enerson’s imagination of what her sleeping baby might be dreaming of at that time.

All of the images in Adele Enersen’s dream photography are created from clothing and fabric; they include typical dreamscapes as well as some abstract visions.

Milton Glaser

Milton Glaser (born June 26, 1929, in New York City) is a graphic designer/illustrator, best known for the I Love New York logo, his "Bob Dylan" poster, the "DC bullet" logo used by DC Comics from 1977 to 2005, and the "Brooklyn Brewery" logo. He also founded New York Magazine with Clay Felker in 1968.

Throughout his career he has had a major impact on contemporary illustration and design. His work has won numerous awards from Art Directors Clubs, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Society of Illustrators and the Type Directors Club. In 1979 he was made Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and his work is included in the Museum of Modern Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Israel Museum and the Musee de l'affiche in Paris.

Carsten Höller

Carsten Höller (born 1961 in Brussels, Belgium) is a Belgian artist. He lives and works in Farsta, Stockholm, in Sweden. He holds a doctorate in biology, specializing in the area of insect communication strategies.

In his work, Höller creates situations which question familiar forms of perception and allow exhibition visitors to experiment on themselves, often inviting the public's active participation. In their form, Höller's works are occasionally reminiscent of scientific laboratory arrangements, allowing the viewer to become the subject of an experiment.

His works have been shown internationally over the last two decades, including solo exhibitions at Fondazione Prada, Milan (2000), the ICA Boston (2003), Musée d'Art Contemporain, Marseille (2004), MASS MoCA, (2006), Kunsthaus Bregenz, Austria (2008), and Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin. In 2006, he conceived "Test Site" for The Unilever Series at Tate Modern, London, and represented Sweden (with Miriam Bäckström) at the 51st Biennale di Venezia.

Campana Brothers

The Campana Brothers (Humberto Campana, b. 1953 and Fernando Campana, b. 1961) are noted Brazilian designers.

In 1983, the two brothers teamed up to develop furniture made by ordinary material - including waste products such as cardboard, rope, fabric and wood scraps, plastic tubes, aluminum wire. By the early 90s, they had already gained considerable international acclaim, notably in Europe and in the United States. Some of their products also began to be produced and sold in Italy.

Their breakout design of the Vermelha chair is still their best seller.

Jeep

Jeep is an automobile marque of Chrysler. It is the oldest off-road vehicle (also sport utility vehicle – SUV) brand. It inspired a number of other military Light Utility Vehicles, such as the Land Rover which is the second oldest 4-wheel-drive brand.
